PODCAST
This was my first attempt at using GarageBand, it was all done on my iPhone (recording, editing). I mostly taught myself the basics by playing around with the different features and looking at tutorials on YouTube.
This is a very simple intro to a podcast, it features my voice, a simple riff that I use as a bed to speak over, and an intro jingle.
If I was to improve this I would use a better microphone to make my voice clearer and I would change the intro jingle. I also need some sound effects to signal that a phone call is taking place. Some of the voice effects used make the audio difficult to hear, I think the settings need adjusting.
Radio
This was my attempt at making a radio jingle. It is very basic and still doesn't sound like the real ones used on the radio. I was able to change my voice with an audio effect. If I were to try it again I think I would need to choose a specific genre and make it more appropriate to that style. I also think that it is too long, and the ends of some of the clips end too abruptly. I need to go back and fade them out.
Coding
Another thing I learned while uploading this audio to my blog was some basic coding skills. I had to embed the code because I wasn't able to simply upload to the site. Again I learned how to do this using tutorial videos on YouTube.
